Solar cells
Only the most reliable and highly efficient mono- and polycrystalline cell technology is used. You will benefit from the excellent low light response which will result in a higher electricity output over the years as well as an exceptional lifespan of 35-40 years.
Frame
The aluminium twin-wall frames used today are the result of many years of research giving the panel a unique strength to withstand high wind speeds. Maintenance free joints at the corners (no screws) and a weather resistant seal between the solar panel and the frame are protecting the panel for its entire lifespan.
Glass
The high transparent solar glass is 4mm thick which brings the SOLON panels in a league of its own. A special structure of the toughened glass surface is reducing the sun reflection, is supporting the self-cleaning process and is coping with intense weather conditions.
Junction box and cables
Each of the junction boxes used on the SOLON panels are fitted with three bypass diodes and 900 mm long, 4 mm² diameter cables with a MC-4 plug. Most of the SOLON solar panels are manufactured with their new designed ED II junction box which is made of aluminium with cooling ribbons to improve the heat disposure of the diodes. Diodes are a safety feature of their solar panels in case it is affected by shading.
